There was a night,

In which it stormed,

Hailed, and in which

the skies seemed to cry.
You told me that it is

Alright to be scared

Of the storms, of the winds,

Of the destruction they bring.
Until the break of day

You held me in your arms

And you kissed my

non-existent fears away.
But honey, I am the thunder,

And I am the lighting.

I am the storm

In the middle of the night.
And why on earth would I be

Frightened of myself?
